My mum and I dropped a suitcase at the airport early for check-in, and rather than stay there, we went back to her house at Coogee for lunch, returning later to catch the plane.On board, I loaded up the Ricoh camera and took some test photos leaving Sydney before the airplane departed at 2:25 pm. It arrived in Melbourne at 3:30 pm, yes, travelling to Europe via Melbourne!
I took some more photos over the Riverina, but cloud cover, then fading light, became a problem.
At 4:20 pm the plane left Melbourne for Singapore and arrived in Singapore 12:00 am. Pretty bored in the airport, I took some photos to while away the time.
The plane departed Singapore at 2:30 am , arriving in Athens at 1:50 am. More hours spent in a transit lounge until the plane then departed Athens at 3 am and finally arrived in Rome at 4:45 am, 26.5 hours later.
I was utterly wiped out.
